I need to set up alternative ways of messaging urgently. It may be possible to get this sorted through human review but that may well take time.
If in contact on Facebook please understand if I don’t reply for a while except to very urgent messages. For now
I only want to talk on FB about how to message me somewhere else.
Also I can’t sent a message to everyone about this issue because doing that would likely immediately falsely flag me as a spammer and block my ability to mesage anyone

I am looking into other alternatives -
- I can install Rocket-lab on my Virtual Private Server which works like Facebook messenger then you can contact me there.
We can then discuss any other places for messaging such as rocket labs via email etc.
Silver lining: Under UK GPDR they have a legal requirement to give me back my data. I also have a right to human review of automated decisions. Then I may be able to get them to remove the mistaken spammer flags as the root cause of the disabled data export. By automated behaviour it just means that I type quickly and I answer many people every day and often copy / paste debunks to help them in my replies.
There is a significant risk it will just cut me off without warning falsely suspecting me of being a spammer.
I thought messaging was safe. But apparently not.
Facebook has also disabled data export from my profile so I can’t export my messages from it any more.
My profile is NOT disabled, just data export from it.
Facebook hasn’t yet blocked me from messaging I’m already in contact with. But my facebook messaging is what triggered this new warning as that is the only thing I’ve done for over a month apart from occasional likes of things on my timeline.
So if I continue to use facebook messenger I risk losing access to my account altogether. If that happens I won’t be able to even see our conversations on Facebook any more. So I will use it for the bare minimum and I ask all my contacts to switch immediately to other ways of talking to me for now.
This means I risk losing the list of all the contacts I have on FB since I started the debunking 10 years ago an all the very long conversations I had with them there.
Facebook is not permitted to do this in UK law under the GPDR.
It can disable the automatic tool but if so it has to provide a way to get my data from a human being.
I have a case under the GPDR in the UK to require human review.

This seems guaranteed to reach a human being.
As soon as a human sees any of this they will know instantly that it has all been a mistake.
And the way it’s structured if I got this right, they have a legal requirement to remove all the spam restrictions.

How it happened
This is the history of what happened:
Facebook doesn’t treat suspected spammers in the way it treats normal users. Especially after what its algorithms consider to be long term persistent spam. It just blocks features without warning.
FB falsely flagged me as a spammer
I kept trying to use my facebook group every few days for a month and each time it blocked me for several days at a time.
No human ever saw my appeals which were all about fact checks I gave to people who were panicking and veyr scared.
Eventually FB stopped me from commenting or posting in my own FB group that I set up for voluntary fact checking altogether.
I then set up the Flarum forum to continue my fact checking there. Stevie McCarthy now is the administrator for the FB group Doomsday Debunked. Many of its members have now joined the new forum so they can ask me questions. Stats: Discussions 640 Members 202 for the new forum.
I continued messaging the scared people for a month or so after that very high volume messaging because they need constant help. FB gave no warnings.
After a month or so of this high volume messaging FB suddenly popped up that message.
I went to the profile and it says data export is disabled.
There is nothing about any of this in the support inbox. FB no longer sends messages to suspected spammers about their violations just does these popups.
When it blocked the posts and comments it gave me an option to appeal. But this time it just gave me information and no option to appeal. This is likely not a bug but intentional, there is likely no appeal at this stage.
